Not just a quilt teacher – but an actual professional High School Home Economics teacher with over 10 years’ experience in the classroom, as well as a further 15 years in the Quilting industry.
I understand where beginners start and what it takes to show you how to grow your skills and achieve success with your quilting. With my love for bright and modern designs, I am here to give you the expert guidance to quilt with confidence.

I sew but have never quilted before, is this course for me?
Absolutely, all you need is a keen interest and I will show you the rest. Everything you need is outlined and all the skills to make your first quilt are covered.
Can I refer back to the course at anytime, how long do I have access to it?
You have access to this course for a LIFETIME (of this Platform anyway) so that you can refer back to it as you build your skills. But don’t forget that all of the workbooks and instructions are downloadable so you can save them and have them on hand anytime.
I am a beginner, will I be able to keep up?
Yes, this course has been designed with you in mind. This course will have one unit dropped each week. This means you can learn the skills in your own time and be ready for the following week. As you have access to this course for a Lifetime, you don’t need to worry about falling behind or needing extra time in a week if you don’t complete all the steps.
I am busy and short on time. How much time do I need to set aside each week?
With bite-sized videos and content to get you sewing faster you can get making knowing that you are learning exactly what you need to know rather than being overwhelmed with information you won’t need yet. With only a few hours each week you can complete this beautiful quilt.

So many new skills
I really enjoyed this course, and definitely recommend to beginner and confident beginner quilters. This is my second quilt and I've learned so much that I'm really excited to take forward in my quilting journey. The design turned out really beautifully and was a lovely way to show of big pattern fabric. Jemima was so helpful when I had some questions. I also appreciated I could take the course at my own pace, which meant I didn't feel like I was falling behind when life got busy. I'm really looking forward to making another one of Jemima's quilts, or to be honest making this one again!

Jemima has pulled together a comprehensive course in a beautifully executed package that entails a thorough workbook and video demonstration-- available for ongoing reference. The coursework is broken down into manageable steps, it is important to observe Jemima as her technique is best practice. For example, the way she pins to match seams and corners is one I will copy as it truly helps to line up for perfect points and corners. The New Quilt on the Block pattern utilizes 8" squares with basic shapes supporting a good beginner foundation and adaptable for any decor and skill level. Jemima provides feedback and encouragement through social media during process. A serendipitous outcome is the access for us more rural students and the joy of taking the course in comfort of your own home at your own speed with the fun of involving your family in process. In my case, my family got to be part of the process from primary fabric choice to thread coloration and my pup was sitting at my feet. It doesn't get any better than that!.
